Among them were Dr. Fazlul Halim Chowdhury, a former vice-chancellor known for his visionary leadership, and Prof. M. Shareeful Islam, a renowned educationist who held the position of Secretary-General of BCTA and was the Head of the Department of Political Science at Tolaram College.
