Alhaj Textile Mills Ltd.

Incorporated as a Private Limited Company in 1962, Alhaj Textile Mills Ltd remains one of the oldest manufacturers of cotton yarn in Bangladesh. Converted to a Public Limited Company in 1967, the Mill’s manufacturing units are located in Ishurdi Pabna.  Setting its second unit encompassing a total of 20,160 Spindles and 800 rotor heads. 

In 1971 post-independence all of the country’s Textile entities were nationalized and again in 1982 mills were denationalized. Over the years after denationalization with its original board of directors and an additional 2 (two) Independent director, Alhaj Textile Mills Ltd continued operating. One of the oldest public Limited Companies still in operation, in 2014, Alhaj Textile Mills Ltd proved to be one top 10 most appreciated stocks since its IPO.
