Bangladesh-Japan Training Institute (BJTI) developed as an endeavor of Bangladesh AOTS - HIDA Alumni Society (BAAS) in April 2011. BAAS has progressed significantly in Human Resources Development in Bangladesh. Projects dispatched in collaboration with AOTS, Japan are enormously helpful and have been appraised exceptionally high by the graduated class and the individuals of this nation.

Considering the socio-economic condition and the population of the country, the need for human resources development in alignment with Japanese approaches is relevant and essential for economic growth of Bangladesh.

Many organizations have been successful in improving quality & productivity through people following Japanese approaches. Hence dissemination of Japanese approaches to management and quality will benefit Bangladesh as a whole. To ensure this, capacity building of BAAS is necessary. Provision and facilities for a training centre are essential.

A Council of 9 members oversees the management of BJTI. The day-to-day affair of BJTI is run by an Assistant General Manager.

The ultimate aim is to transform BJTI into a "Centre of Excellence" by the year 2021 offering Japanese Management and Cutting-edge Technology Courses, Graduate & Post-graduate courses and Regional programs.

Mission: Our mission is to develop human resources through various HRD initiatives. We strive for improving management skills and leadership qualities of people to achieve individual and organizational excellence to bring peace and prosperity in the society.

Activities/Functions

• Conduct Training Course/Seminars mainly focused on Japanese Management Practices
• Offer short specialized courses on 5S, KAIZEN, TQM, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Corporate Leadership, Time Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Income Tax and Vat Management, Supervisory Skills Development, Bankable Project Proposal Preparation, Marketing and Selling Technique, Basic Human Resource Management, Performance Appraisal, Climate Change, Waste Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Fire Protection System etc.
• In-plant training course.
• Offer Undergraduate & Postgraduate Courses and Regional Programs.
• Initiate affiliations with organizations and universities in Japan & other Asian Countries.
