Established in 1974 with funding assistance from the "Pathfinder Fund," Mohammadpur Fertility Services and Training Centre (MFSTC) is located on Aurangzeb Road, Mohammadpur, Dhaka. Initially conceived as a project focused on delivering integrated family planning services, MFSTC has evolved over the years to offer a comprehensive range of reproductive health services under one roof.nExpanding beyond its initial mandate, MFSTC now offers a wide array of services, including pediatric care, intrauterine insemination (IUI) services, a 24/7 blood bank, social welfare support, central oxygen supply, ovarian drilling, recanalization procedures, Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), and gynecological surgeries. Originally conceived as a Family Planning Referral Hospital, MFSTC gradually expanded its services to cater to mothers and children under the age of five.nContinuing its growth trajectory, MFSTC has embarked on an expansion to include infertility treatment and comprehensive reproductive health care services. This expansion aims to address the needs of couples struggling with infertility, whether they are facing primary or secondary infertility issues.nIn addition to its service delivery role, MFSTC serves as a training center, providing basic and in-service training to health and family planning professionals across different levels. The center also conducts various operational research and surveys focused on contraceptive methods, maternal and child health, nutritional status, poverty, morbidity, mortality, and other relevant areas of study.
