The Bangladesh-Korea Technical Training Center (BKTTC), Dhaka, was established in 1942 for the training of retired military personnel and their dependents during World War II. The Bangladesh-Korea Technical Training Center (BKTTC), Dhaka, was established in 1942 for the training of retired military personnel and their dependents during World War II. The institution was relocated to Mirpur Road, Darussalam, Dhaka in 1963 with the financial and technical assistance of S.E.A.T.O. In 2008, with the financial and technical assistance of KOICA, this TTTC was refurbished, new machinery was installed, and it was renamed as the Bangladesh-Korea Technical Training Center (BKTTC). The BKTTC is located adjacent to Mirpur Road, Darussalam, Dhaka and covers an area of 19.5 acres. It has a sufficient number of well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, and conference halls. It provides opportunities for training, research, discussion, reflection, and exhibition in a beautiful environment. It has a well-equipped library, entertainment, and sports facilities. There is also a medical facility on campus. There are modern facilities for training management, conferences, seminars, and workshops. There is a cafeteria in the northeast corner. There is a large auditorium with 500 seats for national and special program management. BKTTC, Dhaka offers a 01-year skill certificate course in 06 trades, modular courses in 24 trades, a trade test facility, a tailoring training facility, a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) program, a Preliminary education program for EPS Korea, Korean language education, a home care observation training, caregiver training, and an orientation course for workers in Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.
