Established in 1987 by Bir Muktijoddha Anwar Hossain Khan, one of the brave organizers of the Bangladesh Liberation War, the college has become a beacon of knowledge and empowerment for the region. From its inception, HDWAKC has been dedicated to fostering a learning environment that is free from the clutches of politics, smoking, and violence. Initially affiliated with the Jessore Education Board, the college expanded its horizons in 2010-2011 by becoming a member of the National University, offering undergraduate (pass) courses. Today, HDWAKC stands tall as a pillar of education in Bamna, Barguna.
