Originally named Ayub Cadet College, it was formally inaugurated on February 11, 1966. Post-Bangladesh independence, it was renamed Rajshahi Cadet College (RCC).nWing Commander (Retd) Mohammad Syed PAF became the inaugural Principal on November 1, 1965, with Captain Khaled Adib (Punjab) appointed as the first Adjutant on February 2, 1968. Mr. M Saleh Uddin Sinha served as the college's first Faculty Member.nBeing the last of four cadet colleges established in East Pakistan, Rajshahi Cadet College witnessed significant milestones, including the appointment of Mr. M. Bakiatullah as the first Bangalee Principal on January 1, 1970, and Captain MA Rashid (FF) as the first Bangalee Adjutant on September 23, 1970. Captain Rashid, Bir Bikram, inspired cadets to join the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971, with several teachers and staff, including Shaheed AB Siddiqui, Bir Bikram (Demonstrator), sacrificing their lives for the country's freedom.nSince its first anniversary, Rajshahi Cadet College has annually celebrated College Raising Day on February 11. Like other esteemed institutions, it boasts the Old Rajshahi Cadets Association (ORCA), an alumni association dedicated to preserving the college's legacy.
