Azimpur Government Girls' School and College, located in Azimpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh, serves as both a secondary and higher secondary educational institution. Founded in 1957 by the Welfare Association of Government Employees, the school initially enrolled approximately 2,700 students and employed a faculty of 82. Renowned for its vibrant cultural scene, the institution regularly hosts educational events such as the Bangladesh Mathematics Olympiad and Bhasha Protijog. In 2007, the school marked its Golden Jubilee and reunion, commemorating five decades of educational excellence.Under the stewardship of its first Head Master, Kazi Ambor Ali, classes commenced in 1957. In 1995, Azimpur Girls’ College was established on the school campus, merging seamlessly with the existing school structure in 1999. Presently, the institution boasts a combined student body of nearly 7,000 and a teaching staff of 92, under the leadership of Principal Geetanjali Barua.The school's infrastructure comprises four buildings, a spacious playground, a duplex auditorium, and a residence for the principal, providing a conducive environment for both academic and extracurricular pursuits.
