Hahnemann Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Bhopal was established in the year 1965. It is one of the oldest Homoeopathic Medical College in Madhya Pradesh. It is run by the Hahnemann Educational Society, Bhopal on a self financing basis.

The college is now run in its premises at New Jail By-Pass Road, Karond, Bhopal- 462038 (M.P.), which has well furnished infrastructure with modern building.

Initially, the college offered two years Diploma Course D.H.B (Diploma in Homoeopathic Medicine & Biochemistry) which was recognized by State Council of Homoeopathy, Madhya Pradesh. The college started offering an upgraded 4 year course D.H.M.S (Diploma in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery) in place of D.H.B in the year 1982 recognized by both MP State Government and Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi.

After  obtaining due permission  from Central  Council Homoeopathy, New Delhi, Medical Education Department and Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh Government and affiliation from Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, the college now offer 5 ½ year course leading  to the Degree of B.H.M.S ( Bachelor of Homoeopathy Medicine & Surgery awarded by the Barkatullah vishwavidyallaya , Bhopal from the academic 1995-96 and Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur from 2015 - 16.

Annual in-take capacity for first year of BHMS course permitted by various authorities is 100.

The admission are done through the admission counseling by Directorate of Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy, Madhya Pradesh on the basis of merit list prepared by the Vyavsayik Pathyakram Pravesh Pariksha  Mandal ( Professional Courses Examination Board), Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks secured in the entrance test called PAHUNT (Pre Ayurved, Homoeopathic, Unani and Naturopathy Test).The student from all over the country who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and  biology subjects from any recognized board/university are eligible for admission  to first year of B.H.M.S course.

Since its inception in 1965, the institution has been making steady all round progress. It has a team of highly qualified experience and devoted faculty members, well equipped laboratories, museums, central library , department libraries etc.The Hahnemann Homoeopathic Hospital and Research  Centre , associated to this college is located in the heart of city and is well equipped with all necessary diagnostic equipment and clinical pathology. This hospital is having necessary infrastructures to train the budding Homoeopathic Doctors as per the standard specified by the Central Council of Homoeopathy. Various specialties O.P.D of this hospital is one of the highest attended homoeopathic O.P.D’s in the State. In accordance with the requirement of Central Council of Homoeopathy, the college has established peripheral O.P.D.’s too. It is heartening to note that the students have distinguished themselves and excelled in academic as well as extra- curricular activities. The students have been securing maximum merit position at various University examinations.
