Robintex (Bangladesh) Ltd., Robin Knitwear Ltd., and Comptex Bangladesh Ltd. are key players in the composite knitwear sector, all operating within a sprawling 35-acre facility located in Vulta, Narayanganj. The site, about 15 kilometers east of Dhaka, sits conveniently by the highway connecting the capital city with Chittagong, Bangladesh's primary international port city.

The entire premise is designed to be a fully integrated composite knit operation, utilizing world-class machinery, technology, and expertise from various countries, including Germany, the USA, the UK, Japan, Switzerland, Australia, Italy, Singapore, and India. The factories have all the essential utilities and approximately 0.71 million square feet of production floor space. They also feature extensive open areas, lush greenery, and robust environmental protection measures.

With 1,864 sewing machines, Robintex employs about 7,500 skilled workers, all operating in a well-organized and conducive environment. This setup allows the company to produce around 0.1 million pieces of high-quality knit garments every day, meeting the demands of a diverse clientele.To accommodate increasing demand from its buyers, Robintex has committed to an additional investment of approximately US$28.20 million in the same location, aimed at expanding and enhancing production capacity. The scheduled completion of this expansion by 2012 would enable the company to produce an additional 5.5 tons of fabric and approximately 25,000 additional high-quality knit garments each day.This strategic expansion is expected to further strengthen Robintex's position in the composite knitwear sector, offering even greater capacity and flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the market.
