Ganesh Chandra Ghosh, the esteemed chairman of Shyamoli Paribahan, is a dreamer who turned his visions into reality. Forty-four years ago, he harbored a dream of upgrading from an old, worn-out scooter to a shiny new bus. Today, that dream has come true.

Ghosh, a resident of the Shalgariya house in Pabna, has made a significant mark in the country’s transport sector. His humble scooter, once a symbol of his modest beginnings, has now become a beacon of his success. During his academic years, he purchased a three-wheeled scooter. He juggled his studies and his budding transport service, eventually earning a degree in Chemistry from Edward College of Pabna. At that time, he operated his scooter service from Pabna city to Sujanagar and Pakshi Ferryghat. The fare for the 12-kilometer journey from Pabna to Sujanagar was five takas. The Pakshi ferry covered 22 kilometers daily, carrying 7-8 passengers per trip.

Despite the modest earnings, Ghosh managed to expand his fleet of scooters. It was this fleet of scooters that laid the foundation for today’s Shyamoli Paribahan. The name ‘Shyamoli Paribahan’ was first etched on one of these scooters, marking the beginning of a transport empire.
