Alia Madrasah was established in 1780 by British government and formed Madrasah education Board of Bengal. Madrasah Education was then started formally. Madrasah education is an inseparable part of the national education process of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board is entrusted with the responsibility of approval and re-approval of madrasahs, designing madrasah related curriculum, textbooks, conducting examinations and giving certificates at the Ibtedaye, Dakhil and Alim levels....

Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board is entrusted with the responsibility of approval and re-approval of madrasahs, designing madrasah related curriculum, textbooks, conducting examinations and giving certificates at the Ibtedaye, Dakhil and Alim levels. In line with the National Education Policy 2010, we are keen to build up our learners in a way that they know and understand the true ideal and spirit of Islam and accordingly become honest, accountable, socially responsible, non-communal, creative, innovative and persons of sound moral characters. They are expected to be able to reflect those ideals and principles in all spheres of life. We believe knowledge of our national heritage, contextual norms, values and glorious history, spirit of liberation war and independence will make our future generation proud and courageous and help them flourish into a true patriotic force. We place due emphasis on acquiring quality modern education and knowledge of contemporary science and technology by the students. We are confident, our learners will be able to equally compete with the students of general and English medium as we strive to progress harmoniously with the other streams and perceive education in a holistic way.
